Safety Lancet Assure®

Description

Created with OSHA requirements for blood glucose testing in mind, Assure Lance Safety Lancets are built to collect blood samples quickly and safely. To minimize the risk of needle-related accidents, these lancets include an automatic lockout feature - their needle retracts after use.

This product contains 200 28-gauge Assure Lance Safety Lancets, color-coded light blue.

Features

  • Hidden-needle construction and automatic after-use lockout helps prevent needlestick accidents
  • Extended Finger Flange and Body Ridges: Engineered to provide a secure grip
  • Single-turn Protective Cap: One, 360-degree turn and pull removes the protective cap
  • Solid Body Color: Designed to make it easier to distinguish between different gauge sizes
  • Tri-bevel needle optimized for maximum comfort

Specifications

Contains: 200 28-gauge lancets

Directions

Before using Assure Lance Safety Lancets, you’ll need to remove the protective cap from your lancet - twist it 360 degrees and pull it off. Then, put the lancet on the side of your fingertip and use its push-button mechanism to collect a blood sample. When you’re done, the lancet can be disposed of in a sharps container.

Frequently Asked Questions

To maximize your safety, you should not remove the protective cap from Assure Lance Safety Lancets until you are ready to use the lancet.

Tips to promote blood flow during a finger prick test include drinking water regularly and massaging the hand where the test site is located shortly before the test begins.

Assure Lance Safety Lancets are pre-assembled for your convenience.

The World Health Organization has stated that the middle and ring fingers are generally ideal for blood glucose testing.

Assure Lance Safety Lancets should be disposed of after a single use. These lancets are designed with a lockout feature to discourage multiple uses.
