Old World Marinara Sauce

 1 tablespoon olive oil
 1/2 cup chopped onion
 2 cloves garlic, minced
 2 (8-ounce) cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
 2 (4-ounce) jars carrot baby food
 1/4 cup water
 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
 1 teaspoon oregano
 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
 1/4 teaspoon salt

In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat oil. Cook onion and garlic 3 to 4 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.

Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
